New Technology

In the last few years, we can see how the advance(gr.) technology development became(gr. - use the present perfect) more and more useful. The most popular developments are the Internet and the Computer. These new technologies have many possible uses in education, in school and out of it, like business, fun, and even for shopping. The question is whether the computers will be able to replace teachers one day. I would like to state my opinion on this issue.

On the one hand, I believe that computers will indeed be able to replace teachers at school one day. Today, our lives evolve around the Internet. I think that the Internet is the best communicate(ww.) tool between the students and their teachers, they give us home work and communicate with us through the Internet. Moreover, it is very easy and saves time when you are studying at home in your spare time.

On the other hand, I think that learning at home through the computer could detract from me my social skills(phr.) by studying alone at home without extrnal stimuli. I believe that social skills are not less important than studying and saving time, and even more important.

To sum up, I think that the computers will be able to replace teachers one day. But, I think that if it would be(gr.+ww.), it should be partially and not absolutely(phr.). I believe that in this case, our social skills are more important than our time.

Young drivers

"Two weeks ago two 17 year old teenagers were involved in an accident and hospitalized in a hard condition". Many young drivers are involved in a lot of accidents. An organization of accident victims has recently proposed that the age for getting a driver's license should be raised to 19. I would like to state my opinion on this law suggestion.

On the one hand, I strongly agree with this law suggestion, which can save lots of teenagers and other drivers around them. I think that giving a license to 17-19 year old teenagers is like giving them a "license to death". At this age we do not always think about the right way to drive, but more about "How we look". Therefore, I believe that this is a sufficient reason to raise the license(phr.).

On the other hand, there is another way to save the teenagers without raising the age to 19. I believe that supervised driving, should last longer than 3 months, at least 6 months. Moreover, I think that the supervised driving period, should be esteemed only when the new driver is actually driving, and not 3 or 6 months from the moment he gets his license. In that way, the new driver could(gr.) gain more experience before he allowed(gr. - use the passive) (to)gettion(?) on the road alone.

In conclusion, I support this law suggestion and I believe it could be important and beneficial. But, there are also other ways to lower the accidents among young drivers. I believe that allocating minimum hours for every new driver before he allowed(gr.) getting(gr.) on the road, can help too.

The Internet

The Internet is an invention that has revolutionized our lives. Some people see in the internet a very beneficial thing, nevertheless there are people who strongly resist it. We can all see that the Internet has changed our lives- for better or worse.

On the one hand, there are people who claim that the Internet is a very important development in our lives. Through the Internet we can communicate with our friends, even in another country, in real time. Also, the Internet is important for businessmen due to their urgent use in emails to communicate with other businessmen.

On the other hand, the Internet could be very dangerous if we do not use it wisely. It could especially be dangerous for children and teenagers. For example, teenagers who chat on the Internet with someone who has a nice title, became curious to know who is behind the name. In that way it makes them feel desire to meet with him. In that case, it could be a very dangerous and even fatal decision, due to the risk to meet with him.

In my opinion, the Internet is a very important development, which would be hard to manage our lives without. I think that our lives revolve around the Internet. But, parents should be more careful and always supervise sites which their children enter to.

Matriculation exams

How can we test the student's knowledge in the moment of truth?
Matriculation exams are the most reliable way of testing a student's knowledge, but not the only one. I would like to state my opinion about matriculation exams and suggest an alternative way of checking students' knowledge.

On the one hand, I support the matriculation exams. The matriculation exams are really the most reliable way of testing a students' knowledge, because only when each pupil is sitting alone and there are two testers, who keeps that you are not cheating, can it really reflect the pupil's own abilities.

On the other hand, as a 12th grade student, I can say that the matriculation exams are stressful due to their importance. Therefore, they do not always reflect the student's knowledge. I would like to suggest a less stressful way to check the student's knowledge, by handing in papers and projects, which will be checked carefully by the teacher. I believe this way it is better, because here the pupil is not under pressure.

To sum up, checking the student's knowledge in the moment of truth is very important, but matriculation exams are not the only way. I think that the way of matriculation exams is very stressful and could be replaced partially by projects.

My Friend

Have you ever thought about the question "am I a real friend?". "The best friend" is a title which is hard to get. Who is a real friend? How could you be a real friend? And which qualities should you have in order to be a "friend"?

In my opinion, the most important qualities which should be in a friend is supporting. Everyone needs somebody whom he could trust in hard conditions. I think that a real friend will recognize himself when you need him and will always be there for you . It is very important to have somebody you can turn to and trust. This quality in a person could affect his relationships with his surrounding for better or worse.

Another quality, which is not less important, is the ability to be honest with your friend. You should know to tell him the truth about things he asks or about his choises. You should know to tell him when you think he is wrong. I think that if you do not tell the truth it is such an hypocrisy and it could destroy the trust between you. In that way, it could affect your relationship.

To sum up, it is not really hard to be a real friend. All you have to do is put yourself in your friend's place and think how you would want him to behave. After all, it can only help you and affect positively your relationships with others and you can only gain from it.

I am an 11th grade student, and I have read about your plans to produce a series of one-hour programs for teenagers. I am writing to you because I would like to suggest an idea for a new radio show for teenagers, which will present love issues.

On this one-hour radio show, teenagers could tell about their problems and get an advice from other listeners. The teenagers will not be asked to indentify with their names, which will allow them ask anything they want. This program will allow teenagers to be more conscious to problems that might suddenly appear in their own relations and be learn how to deal with them.

In my opinion, this subject is important because love is a feeling that takes over, especially at this complicated age and we can not manage it. I believe that teens would be very interested with this show because in this period of the adolescence the most suitable subject for teens is love. We can not control our feelings and it causes us sometimes strange moods.

To conclude, I think that it is the most suitable time for issues like love for teenagers. In their period they are still ashamed to common their relatives with all their questions and problems. Therefore, I believe that such a program will be very useful for them. I would like to thank you for considering my suggestion.

"Gadna" week

Every year, students in the 11th grade go on the "Gadna" week. This trip is like a preparation for the army. About a month ago, I went on this trip and I have to say that I really enjoyed it there despite all the difficulties, and I was exposed to the concept of the "army".

First of all, I have to say that at the beginning, I was frightened from the physical tasks due to my friend's descriptions and complaints. Nevertheless, I was surprised to discover that it was not so bad or difficult as I thought. On the first day, we were divided into groups. In every group there were 10 girls and 10 boys. At the beginning I was very disappointed that I was with students that I did not meet before. But, quickly I met new friends, and understood that if I were with my friends I would not meet these new friends.

On the fourth day, after lots of training on the first days, we were aiming at the target 10 times. I have never thought that it could be so difficult for me. When we were laid there, there were feelings of identification with the soldiers, that fight for our country.

Finally, I have to say again, that I really enjoyed it there and I am recommending for every student to go on this trip. It is a real experience despite the difficulties, that actually only consolidated us as a group.

Last week I went on a trip to Pariz, organized by your company, with my family and was surprised to find that their service is not as good as I expected. I am writing because I would like to complain about the service they provided while I stayed there.

First of all, when I read about their hotel in your book hotel accomodations, and in your site I was very impressed from the caring service the guests got there. But, unfortunately, the service I got was not similar at all the description. The rooms were dirty and the room service was unsatisfactory and improper.
Moreover, despite the "friendly guide" that was described in your site, their guide was not friendly enough and his explanations were not comprehensible at all.

Finally, I am really disappointed by the service and hope for a compensation. I hope you read and relate to my complaint as soon as you can.

I am writing to you because I would like to become a volunteer in your organization of "Pet Help", which I have recently read about in an article. I have read about your activity in this organization and was impressed by the way you take care of animals.

First of all, the main reason for my wish to volunteer in your organization is my love for animals. Animals make me happy and when I see them I forget all of my worries or problems. Due to this, I will do everything I can in order to help them. Moreover, volunteering in your organization will help me personally fulfill a dream which is making the lives of those who make me smile, better.

I believe that I can contribute a lot from my experience with animals due to my volunteering at the veterinarian clinic in my spare time. I joined that clinic when I was 14 and I am still a volunteer there twice a week on average.
